Fall Winter Workout Series Kick-off Sunday 10/30 11 AM

Posted on Saturday, October 29th, 2022 at 4:33 pm by Van
Hey Paddlers,

We are kicking off our Fall/Winter workout series this Sunday at the Event Site. If it’s too windy we will move to the Nichols basin.

Our first workout comes complementary of Coach Sam Taylor in PDX. Some of you may remember his master athlete training discussion on Zoom at the beginning of this year.

After a good warm up we will start right into a set of 4 intervals at 5 minutes each with a 3-minute rest between each piece (4x5/3’). This is solid aerobic effort across all intervals. In other words, you should be able to hold a consistent effort for each 5-minute piece.

Over this Fall/Winter workout series we will eventually work up to a 4x8/3’ set with added stroke rate and effort variations mixed in.

Bring some light snacks and or coffee/tea/favorite beverage to share afterwards.

See you there!
